We worked with W.C. Smith to create a new, modern website that would replace their old, unresponsive website. This new website showcases a fresh design, but far more importantly, it is also deeply integrated into their accounting and inventory systems—which completely transforms how customers order product.
One master product list to rule them all
Behind the scenes, the site offered daily, automated products which pulled from their internal software Sage 300 ERP. This meant that the client only needed to maintain one master product list, and the site would take care of the rest. The site also produced on-the-fly templated product sheets—no need to generate and upload individual sheets.
The biggest benefit of the website was the new online ordering system we built.
Users were now able to log in and facilitate their own online product orders. All orders were based on a full box criteria, which streamlined the back-office order process and eliminated the need to check for broken box quantities.
