Different needs for different audiences

As the voice of Ontario’s fruit and vegetable farmers, The Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association is responsible for the flow of information between many organizations, committees, board of directors, staff, and individuals. They required a website which not only provides information and resources to the public, but also serves to manage and distribute confidential information to different audiences in a secure and easily accessible manner.

The new OFVGA website clearly separates the admin dashboard between public and secure sections. Both sections provide the ability to create pages, news posts, image galleries, newsletters, and more. However, the secure section has the added ability to specify which information is available to each user group.

We also created custom functionality for site admins to construct Meeting Packs, which contain information and files pertaining to their board of directors’ meetings, such as conference call codes, meeting agendas, and business reports. These packs are scheduled to be emailed to all the BODs prior to meetings and ensure that everyone has the necessary resources for each meeting and serve as an archive of each meeting’s materials.
